When we left O’Connors and the Sonoma wine country we headed westwards to travel back to San Francisco down the coast. The first place we stopped was a place called Bodega. This was the town that Alfred Hitchcock used for exterior scenes in his movie ‘The Birds’.  We walked around the outside of the small church which is on a hill giving a view of the valley around. From Bodega we went along the shore, stopping at an oyster factory, then going onto Point Reyes and the Bear Valley Visitor Centre. The views enroute were pleasant and we arrived back, in the evening, to Menlo Park. In the morning we were heading for Yosemite and points east.
