Jurong Bird Park makes two claims – to be the largest such park in the Asia-Pacific region and to have the largest man-made waterfall in the world.  Like the zoo there is an emphasis on naturalistic settings for the inhabitants of the park. One such habitat – a tropical rainforest, comes complete with thunderstorms and rain, as might be found in such forests for real. It’s a great place just to walk around in. The designers and builders put a lot of thought and work into this park. There are other attractions in this country that we did not see , but based on what we did see, they were probably equally worth seeing. Quite amazing in such a small country to offer so many sensory delights. Back in Singapore they were starting to get ready for the Chinese New Year – it was like Christmas all over again.
